_______________________________
Orfanato Ninos de Cristo is an orphanage in the South-eastern town of La Romana, Dominican Republic, that was founded in 1993 by Sonia Hane, a Dominican woman living in the United States. Sonia felt a calling to return to the DR to open a home devoted to needy, homeless or parentless children. My husband Kevin and I have been working closely with this orphanage for the past 5 years, and we visit the children annually.

There are 145 children already living at Orfanato Ninos de Cristo, (25 boys and 120 girls), ranging in ages from 6 months to 18 years old. Many of the children are already doubled up in beds. Taking these new 50 Haitian children in is going to be a huge financial undertaking in order to meet their emotional and physical needs; many, if not all, of these kids are facing severe emotional trauma from the earthquake, as well as physical injuries.

By giving to this orphanage you will know where your money/donation is going and that it is being used for a great purpose. Thank you! – Allison Nance

*All funds will be sent through The Charlie Decker Foundation, a US 501(c)3, their primary focus is Orfanato Niños de Cristo and they are committed to aiding in the relief of these Haitian orphans. http://www.charlesdeckerfoundation.org/
